About

Who we are

Bring attention and creativity back home.

Mind Reclaim is a global group of concerned parents and educators. We care about better development opportunities for the next generations. That means helping families and schools set healthy boundaries around social networks and AI use — so attention and creativity can come back home.

We are not a company pitch. We are people who meet at kitchen tables, parent nights, and staff huddles to talk honestly about what these tools do to focus, learning, and family life.

What we believe

Two pressures often travel together.

Sticky feeds pull attention out of the room. They are built to hold eyes — often by ranking what keeps someone watching, not what helps a child think, learn, or grow.

Easy AI answers can skip the practice of thinking and creating. Used with care, these tools can help. Used as a default before skills are strong, they can take the struggle that builds real understanding.

Feeds steal time and focus. Default AI can skip the work of learning.

We do not treat this as a weather report (“that’s just how it is”). We treat it as design — and as something families and schools can answer with shared rules, offline yeses, and practice before shortcuts.

We are not anti-technology. We are for healthy boundaries, for young people and for adults too.

What we do

We keep things simple and human:

  • Clear talks for parents, schools, and educator groups
  • Small kits you can take home or share at a meeting
  • Shared norms: protect sleep and meals; delay accounts when you can; try alone first on schoolwork; explain the work in your own words
  • Offline yeses — friends in person, sports, games, nature — so life is fuller than the feed

Our website and newsletter are home base. We post rarely on social media, and only to point people back here. If you want to exchange ideas with others, you are welcome in our Discord — soft, optional, never louder than the site.

Who’s behind this

Mind Reclaim started when concerned parents and educators teamed up to form a movement — on a completely voluntary basis. We operate at minimum cost. We do not require funding, because participating members contribute their time and work voluntarily.

There is no celebrity founder story here. There is a circle of people who care, plus local volunteers who host conversations in their own communities.

If you need a human door for a talk or a parent night, you can reach one of our available volunteers via the outreach email.

How we talk

Warm kitchen-table honesty. Plain words. Short sentences when we can.

We name the design, not a villain. We speak of influence and commercial pressure — not mind control, not conspiracy, not doom.

We do not shame parents or children. We do not diagnose anyone from a webpage. We do not ask schools to ban all phones or all AI. We ask for sequence and shared courage: skills first, tools second; attention and creativity back home.
